World of Warcraft Beginner help – Easy 10 pts.?

Well i’m thinking of buying WoW and I am completely new to it, my 10 day free trial thing doesnt work but i dont care about that. I just have some questions. What are the expansion packs about? Are they like DLCs to consoles? Just an extra world to explore? Are they necessary, or atm, for me will the original disc suffice? Can mac and pc players interact in the same world or are the seperate? What is the main aim of WoW? Can people PK anywhere? (so is it unfair for new players because i have heard that newbies get crushed by higher levels and theres nothing they can do, even if they just want to do a quest on their own). ?? And what is the main charm of the game? And who are the main YouTubers for WoW, like commentary or video-wise. Even if you can only answer some of the questions – all is welcome. Sorry for all the questions but i would be very grateful for an answer :) ).

What are the expansion packs about? Are they like DLCs to consoles? Just an extra world to explore? – Expansion packs are new worlds to go. They increase the level cap from 60 to 70 and then from 70 to 80. The include more armor, new enemies to fight, new dungeons to go into, new quests to do, new cities to explore, new characters to play, and new groups to be associated with. They continue the story that the original game started.

Are they necessary, or atm, for me will the original disc suffice? For a very new person, they aren’t necessary. The original discs will take you from level 1 to 60. It will introduce you to the game. Once you hit level 58 you can actually go to the next world, only if you have the first expansion (The Burning Crusade) installed.

Can mac and pc players interact in the same world or are the seperate? Yes, they play in the same realms.

What is the main aim of WoW? The main aim of WoW is always changing. In the original game you had new objectives with each major patch that was released. First you had to stop the invasion of Ragnaros. Then you had to stop Hakkar the Soulflayer. (Yes, ZG was release AFTER MC) After that, you needed to put an end to Nefarian, an evil black dragon. Following that, the Qiraj were a threat and you had to quell that. Finally you had to go into a floating citadel and stop an evil Lich.

When the first expansion, The Burning Crusade, was released you had to go into a tower and stop a demon from attacking. Then the was a two throng threat of a magic crazed elf and high lieutenant of a very old deformed and corrupted elf. After that, you had to assist in helping an old battle from being stopped, which would have basically ended the world of Azeroth if the battle never happened, along with taking on a fallen elven hero. Finally, you had to stop these people from finishing summoning a very high ranking officer in a group of demons called The Burning Legion.

Right before the current expansion was released, the Lich King started attacking the people of Azeroth. This lead us to go and try to assault the continent that he resides on, Northrend. After we get into Northrend, that floating citadel that was the main focus of the original game had come back. The lich had reformed and we had to take care of him again. Along with that threat, the leader of the blue dragons, the one in charge of magic, went crazy and we had to put him down. If that wasn’t enough, there was another dragon wreaking havoc that we had to stop. Once all that was settled, we found out that an old God that had been suppressed had broken free of his prison and we had to quiet him. Upon taking him on we also found out that Azeroth was to be destroyed and remade unless we showed the person that decided our fate that we could take care of ourselves.

After that God was put to slumber, a hero of Azeroth decided to put together a way to make sure the best of the best would go and take on the Lich King. He found some of the hardest things out there, put them in an arena and had us fight them. The Lich King added an extra contestant that the hero didn’t realize, but the Alliance and the Horde were triumphant. This leads us to where we are today. We are currently battling the Lich King. But there is rumors that another attack by another dragon is imminent. We will find that out soon enough.

Can people PK anywhere? (so is it unfair for new players because i have heard that newbies get crushed by higher levels and theres nothing they can do, even if they just want to do a quest on their own). ?? Yes, people can PK, but it isn’t anywhere. On every type of server, the starting zones of each race is a safe haven. If you play on a PvE server, the only times you can get attacked is if you are in an opposite faction’s major city, if you are in a BG, or if you have your /pvp flag on. If you are on a PvP server, then most zones are free to be attacked in. One of the worst zones is Stranglethorn Vale.

And what is the main charm of the game? The charm of the game is that there is always the constant reward you receive. You’re always completing one task and getting rewards, be it gold or items. People love being rewarded and this is no exception. Another charm is that people can fight against other people and show their skill against other people, rather than AI. Team work is a third example of why people love the game. When they are working with a group of people they are familiar with, they just see how far in the game they can get.

And who are the main YouTubers for WoW, like commentary or video-wise. Most of the videos for WoW are either boss fights, PvP, or just silly ones. Tankspot has a lot of the boss videos, but many people like posting their own. You can always search up a certain boss on youtube and find plenty of videos. For PvP, there are plenty as well. Some classes have a certain character that posts a lot. Then people always make their own videos, sometimes putting in game fo
